What a year of mileage tracking costs
The cheapest way to get unlimited trips for a year from each app, what the free tier covers, and where the trips are stored. Published prices as of October 13, 2026; vendors change them, so check before you buy.

The honest differences
Automatic detection versus one tap. MileIQ, Everlance, Hurdlr, TripLog, and Driversnote can notice that you are driving and log every drive, which you then classify as business or personal. That is convenient if nearly every drive is business, and a chore if most are not. Mileagetastic records only the trips you start, so there is nothing to clean up, and nothing is recorded when you did not ask.
Where the data goes. Every other app on this list needs an account and keeps your trips on its servers. Mileagetastic has no account and no server; trips stay on your phone and in your own iCloud or Google backup.
What they have that we do not. Expense tracking, receipt capture, bank connections, team dashboards, and tax filing. If you need those, one of the others is the better buy. If you need a mileage log and a report, you are paying for the rest.
Price. The others cost between six and fourteen times as much per year. The difference is roughly the price of a tank of gas.
Prices are the vendors' published US prices for an individual, checked on October 13, 2026. Where a vendor shows no price, the figure comes from recent third-party pricing trackers. Tell us at support@votivigy.com if one is out of date and we will fix it.
Try it on the next ten trips
Every feature is free for the first ten trips. Decide after that whether $9.99 a year is fair.
